Take the book, stroke it lovingly, open it, turn its pages… some prefer to be alone with their treasure and take it home. Others are desperate to share it and praise the charms of their choice. The most impatient gather together, falling into silence, immediately escaping the real word and immersing themselves in their reading. Neuchâtel feeds their common passion with several libraries: the Bibliothèque publique et universitaire (the Public and University Library) with its Rousseau Room, which is dedicated to the “lonely walker”, the Bibliothèque des pasteurs, Bibliomonde and the Bibliothèque-ludothèque Pestalozzi (Pestalozzi games and book library).
